From the Jasper Skytram and Whistler Mountain, we headed into the town of Jasper.

In Jasper, we turned east on Yellowhead Highway/TC-16, then made a detour on Maligne Lake Road.

and deep (up to 50 m/160')

Medicine Lake, which fills with snowmelt, then disappears as it is not
really a lake, but where the Maligne River backs up during spring runoff

we ran into the thickest swarm of mosquitoes

54°C/129°F, which is cooled to 40°C/104°F for the pool

Because the weather forecast was for severe thunderstorms and rain, we decided not to camp at Big Berland, but instead stayed at the Crestwood Hotel in Hinton, AB.
